The University of Michigan, often referred as simply
Michigan University is a public research university located in An Arbor,
Michigan, United States. Founded in 1817, the university is the largest
university in the state of Michigan. The Central Campus in Ann Arbor is in 40
acres. In total the university consists of 584 major buildings with an area of
784 acres holding enormous amount of academic, residential and research
facilities. The university is an example of United States governments desire to
